A modern American twist on the Canadian classic — crispy tots smothered in cheese and hot gravy. Simple, hearty, and perfect for solo cravings or quick comfort.


🧂 Ingredients

  • ~10 oz Ore Ida Tater Tots (about ⅓ of a 32 oz bag)
  • 4 oz cheese of choice (cheese curds traditional, slices work)
  • Beef, chicken, or turkey gravy (store-bought or homemade)
  • Chives for garnish (optional)

🍽 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Spread tots in a single layer on foil-lined sheet pan.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway for even crisping.
  4. When golden and crispy, cover with cheese slices or curds.
  5. Return to oven just until cheese melts.
  6. Move tots to bowl or soup mug, sprinkle with chives if using.
  7. Meanwhile, heat gravy on stove or in microwave.
  8. Serve hot, pouring gravy over tots just before eating.
